Welcome to
Wonderfully Wired

Sarah Loveridge
Hello! I‘m an autism + ADHD specialist based in the northwest of England with a Masters in Autism.
Previously, I‘ve worked as primary school teacher and as children‘s/youth worker at St. Clement‘s Church, Manchester. I‘m a mum to two pre-school aged kids and I‘m passionate about using the experiences God has given me to make churches accessible and welcoming to neurodivergent people.
Why "Wonderfully Wired"?
I went through a few different name ideas but landed on Wonderfully Wired because:
A. I liked the link to Psalm 139v13-14 which says "for you [God] created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." as a reminder that all brains work differently but were all made by the same good creator God.
B. There's a bit in the "Amazing Things Happen" autism video that says "just because an Xbox game doesn't work, doesn't mean it's broken". Our brains are all wired differently, and that's a GOOD thing. God was just being a bit more creative with some of us!
So essentially what I'm saying is this: everyone is Wonderfully Wired by a Wonderful Creator and, with a little bit of understanding and adjustment, I reckon we can work together to make churches places where all kinds of brains are able to comfortably worship him.
